- Lamb of God’s new album, Wrath, came out this week. While this is more Julia’s territory, I gotta say I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard, especially the track, “Broken Hands.”
- Faith No More confirmed their reunion plans….but will not be touring the US. Bittersweet news. I will keep my fingers crossed.
- I saw Tom Jones on Tuesday. I know this is not metal-related, but it was awesome.
- Fact: Julia and I are way hotter than the current ‘Hottest Chick in Metal.’
- Fact: Julia and I are cooler than your girlfriend.
- I saw Cradle of Filth and Satyricon (sans Julia) at the Nokia Theatre on Friday night. Of particular interest…
- I got to cut half the line outside “because I’m a girl.”
- “How did you get into metal?” is a question I will always have to deal with. Just because I don’t wear excessive eye makeup and don’t wear chains on my pants doesn’t mean I don’t like metal.
- I learned that the excess acidity in Screwdrivers can rot your insides. ROCK
- Satyricon put on a killer set. Lots of hair spinning, I liked Satyr’s short, slicked back haircut, and the keyboard chick doesn’t wear a bra.
- Cradle of Filth were ok. I have a love/hate for Dani Filth’s screeching voice, but I did not appreciate the fake torches on the stage. That is so not metals.
Until next time….Horns up, Metalloids.
